I haven't been as much out this Autumn as I wanted, but I still have been able to take some photos of the 2023 Autumn mood and colors in Austria, Italy and Slovenia ...

The above photo was taken in the same area as the two images below: the AWW - "Abenteuer Wasser Weg" or in English "Adventure Water Way" in Liebenfels, Carinthia - Austria, a place very near to my home. There ewas no fog or mist to see during the hike through that gorge, but on my way back there was really dense mist in the trees not far from my starting point. The other two images were taken with the 70-200mm lens at 200mm across the river.

A couple of days ago I've been to some interesting looking waterfalls in Italy: Cadini del Brenton in the Mis Valley. They are quite nice, but at the upper end were some signs telling to don't go further because it's dangerous ... what an invitation to me :)

There was no real path through this narrow gorge, and you have to cross the river and climb over huge rocks quite a few times, but at the end there's a lovely waterfall and the views up the gorge walls are awesome.

The "Fontanone Barman" is a huge waterfall in the Val Resia / Resia Valley in Italy. Strong storms in the past weeks have quite changed the waterfall area, and especially the river with it's mossy overgrown boulders is now clean and moss less - just gray and white rocks.

This was the most interesting scene that I have found aside the river:

In the Lepena Valley, a side valley of the Soča Valley in Slovenia, there's the Šunikov vodni gaj / Šunik Water Grove. I love this place because it's so beautiful and I always find something new to photograph, but whenever I'm there I take a photo of the big waterfall.

The storms in the past weeks have cut many trees and some were laying right over this waterfall. They have cleaned up the place, but in upper right corner you still can see a fallen tree.

The Garnitzenklamm / Garnitzen Gorge near Hermagor in Carinthia is an awesome gorge and a hike through this gorge will show you many cool looking waterfalls, colorful and interesting textured boulders and also lovely trees, especially in Autumn.

Usually, the waterfall in the image above isn't there, but after some quite strong storms this one and quite some other "new" waterfalls have appeared. Next time when I'm there, they will be gone, of course.
