Abstracts at the Waterfall

What do you do when the light at the waterfall is too bright and too harsh to take photos of it? Right, you look for something else, and I found some really interesting patterns of lichen on the rocks beneath the waterfall.

Because I took quite some time to take photos at another waterfall in the Maltatal Valley, I arrived a little bit too late at the second waterfall that falls into a little lake that's called "Blauer Tumpf" (Blue Pond). Actually, the pond isn't really blue, at least I might haven't seen it in the right light to let it look blue, but it's a lovely place there and every time I've been there, I had it for me alone. So, the sun shone directly onto the waterfall, but luckily I found some really cool looking rocks which were overgrown by colorful lichen.

I know that it's not to everyone's taste, but when you zoom into the image, there's so much to see that most people wouldn't expect, I believe ... there's lichen and little mushrooms in many colors ... another world, a small other world ;)
