The small world ... insects and other tiny things.
Most times these days I have my macro lens with me instead of the wide angle lens. So, most of my woodland photos are actually macros. Whenever a butterfly or other insect is patient enough with me, I try to take a photo of it, and most times I am really surprised how cool some of these tiny creatures look when you have them on the big monitor at home.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a very impatient person, but from time to time I enjoy waiting even several minutes at a lake or at the sea for a long exposure photo.
The smooth water looks awesome after you have exposed the image for such a long time, but also rivers and especially waterfalls look so much better when you let the shutter open for a fraction of a second, depending on the flow of the water.

There was a little bit mist on the other side of the lake, the water was calm and the sky was cloudless, but the rising sun painted it awesome orange. -- Johann Piber

Where's my Mojo?

At first, let me tell you how it all began.

It had been about 15 years since I last sat on a bicycle, but last autumn an idea popped into my head and simply wouldn't go away: What if I did something besides hiking? What if I tried a different form of exercise and did even more for my health? What if I bought a bicycle to get to my favourite photo spots near home or in the mountains more quickly?

"Bike, hike, and take photos" was the idea that refused to leave my head ...
