My first cameras have been Canon cameras, point and shoot and SLR's (film cameras) and after a while shooting with Micro Four Thirds DSLR Cameras from Olympus around 2010-2015 and a couple of years using point-and-shoot cameras only, I switched back to Canon again in 2018, when I bought the mirrorless Canon M50.
The M50 is a great little camera, but I had it only a few months because I decided to change from crop to full frame and bought the Canon EOS R, which I really love. Unfortunately, the new RF lenses are quite a bit above my affordable price range, so I have to use the "cheaper" EF and Sigma lenses, but they are amazing lenses anyway.
