After a quite busy week with not a lot of sunshine I want to share some of the photos I have taken since last weekend ... there haven't been many though and most you are going to see are clouds and flowers.

Storm Clouds over the Mountain

I spent a little time at my parents house after I came back from my hike last weekend, until storm clouds rolled in from the north and the blue sky got darker.

Last Sunday, I still felt the hike in my bones, but I needed to get out for a little walk in the morning. It had stopped raining and the sky above me was quite clear, but the next rain clouds have already been forming on the horizon. So there was not much of a sunrise to see.

I have had my Sigma 105mm macro lens with me and could take a few photos of flowers growing beside my path. There haven't been many flowers yet, but it was enough for me to once again make use of the macro lens after the Winter. The above photos show a Knautia Arvensis and a Buttercup or Ranunculus flower.

In the photos below you can see a Buttercup or Ranunculus again and a Taraxacum or Dandelion flower with only a few seeds left.

During the next days there was mostly bad weather and after long days in the office, I haven't been in the mood to get out, but Thursday was the first day where the sun was shining a little bit more than the days before.

So I went for a ride on the motorbike and took my camera with the long 100-400mm Sigma lens with me. It was quite windy that day when I have taken these photos of a little tree growing on the farm fields. Because of the wind and I have taken the photos hand held, they might look a little bit blurry in full size view.

The clouds were moving fast and so the sunshine was also moving over the farm fields in front of me. At first I have seen the little tree in the fields in the shadow, then it was illuminated like in the photo above. After waiting for a little while longer, the clouds opened a little gap just big enough for the sun to illuminate only the area where the tree was standing, and so I got the photo below, which is exactly how I wanted it to be.

On Friday, I went for a little ride on the motorbike again, because the weather was still very nice, but I didn't take any photos, just enjoyed the afternoon after a very busy week.

Actually, this Saturday morning I wanted to take some macros of Spring flowers again, but it was very windy and so I had no chance for reasonable sharp macro photos.
The wind was pushing dark clouds from all directions and didn't give the sun a chance for a colorful sunrise. Only for a few minutes the clouds opened a little gap on the horizon and let the sun iluminate that open space with orange fire.

I want to end this summary of past week with one more photo of the amazing view I have had when I opened my tent in the morning after a night in the woods.

So, that was the end of my post for this week and I hope there have been a few photos you liked. You might already have seen some of the photos on my Twitter account https://twitter.com/JohannPiber.
