It's just a low slope over which the small stream falls before it flows into the reservoir. I was standing on relatively thick ice when I took these photos. The reservoir right behind me had an ice cover too, but I doubted that the ice could carry me, so I stayed close to the shore.

The little waterfall itself is usually not impressive, but covered by the ice it looked cool and the closer I zoomed the more I liked what I saw - a little leaf, frozen in clear ice, and there was the one needle of a pine tree which looked somehow like a white feather.

The blue tone of the ice looked great - I didn't even need Photoshop to colorize the ice ;)
While the ice on the reservoir behind me had a more sunrise-like orangish tone, as you can see in the last photo, this ice curtain over the waterfall was nicely cool blue.

The ice on the reservoir behind me was a little bit to thin for me to walk on it, but the early morning sun painted it in a nice warm orange tone.
